This is a great example of a company creating great content to spread their message. Chipotle is doing a great job of communicating what they want to stand for, which is ethical food from family farms.

The remake of The Scientist by Willie Nelson is really good too.

One challenge that some marketers may face in online marketing is that their product is not very interesting or remarkable. How can you make something like Yogurt interesting? Here is a great example of creating compelling content around a product some would call boring. It has over 2 million views.

Guy Kawasaki discusses why it is a great time to start a company.

Guy summarizes his book Enchantment.

This is an excellent talk by Mark Pincus (founder of Zynga) with a lot of great nuggets and tips.

A good Seth Godin talk about “shipping”.

This is an excellent explanation of how search engines work by Google’s Matt Cutts.

This video provides an incredible perspective on the size of the universe that will blow your mind.

Another interesting talk by Salman Khan, who is using YouTube to teach millions.

An interesting interview with one of my favorite authors Tim Ferriss.

Psychologist Barry Schwartz, author of the Paradox of Choice, recently spoke at Google about his new book. Google has a great series of talks you can watch called Talks@Google.

Here is a nice video explanation of comparing Google analytics data from two periods of time from Portent Interactive.

An epic advertisement from a while ago that does a great job at generating demand for their product.

Another great presentation by Jason Fried who shares business ideas that often challenge traditional thinking (there are a few swear words).

Random is an excellent show by Tim Ferriss and Kevin Rose that discusses a bunch of random cool stuff. 4 Hour Work Week is a must read.

This excellent documentary examines the positives and negatives of the digital revolution on society. In South Korea they have rehab schools for kids that are “addicted” to the internet. “The Korean government are taking an assertive approach to the addressing the social problems created by the net”.

Academic Earth is an amazing resource for learning. It is incredible we are able to watch lectures from the top universities in the world for free. Here is a terrific lecture on the fascinating field of positive psychology.

I’ve read all of Malcom Gladwell’s books and saw him speak. Brilliant stuff. I wish he could be cloned.

There are a lot of great creative consumer generated videos made with Legos. According to Geeky Gadgets the Matrix Lego video below took 440 hours to make. There are probably thousands of these videos that produce millions of dollars worth of free marketing for Lego.

Leo Laporte, from the awesome This Week In Tech podcast, discusses the future of media. His internet tech shows makes revenues of about $1.5 million with about $350,000 in costs a year with venues doubling every year (he charges $70 CPMs). He says “advertisers are no longer intent with loosely engaged large audiences who may or may not be paying attention.”

The story of how Sylvester Stallone made Rocky is as inspirational and incredible as any. Any sane person would have quit but he refused to give up on his dream.

Wow this is great. If we can only raise $20 billion, we could provide the entire world with fresh drinking water with this technology. A Livesaver bottle costs $149.99. I wonder if there’s a way to pay for them to get one in the hands of people that need it.
